Praised by many, loved by all, the BMW M3 has been a benchmark in the automotive world. Enthusiasts have dissected every nut and bolt and have all come to the same conclusion, the BMW M3 is still the ultimate driving machine. From the E30 to the E92, each chassis has embraced the original ///M philosophy, maybe through different ways, but each generation has always pushed the limits of what a ///M car means.
Beautiful and rare hard to find E90 M3 Sedan with a 6-Speed Manual. But as you draw closer, the M3 sedan becomes a wolf in wolf’s clothing. You see the power bulge in the hood, there to contain the all-new 414-hp, 4.0-liter V-8. You see the enormous drilled brake rotors. You see gills behind the front fenders that actually look as though they belong there. You notice the absence of boy-racer fog lights, replaced by huge air intakes for the brakes and engine. But mostly you notice the flared fenders and the nose-low, hunkered-down profile that suggests a nearly audible snarl. Crank the engine, and the snarl becomes entirely audible. Run the M3 through the six close-ratio manual gears, and the snarl becomes an Indian battle whoop as you approach the engine’s stratospheric 8400-rpm limit. After all, look at the weight balance: 3680 pounds total, with 1840 pounds at the front, 1840 at the rear. You don’t have to be a mathematician to suspect that’s pretty good. It’s also one of the best cars in the world at handling daily life and weekend track duty, it has an engine that screams the purest joy of motorsports past eight grand and it’s the car Jeremy Clarkson called “pretty much perfect.”The acceleration is absolutely thrilling. Could not be any more awesome. The engine under load is simply the best sound in the world and it is SO revvy at the top end that you just can’t believe how quickly it spins from 5,000rpm up to redline. It’s a real animal up there. The S65B40 is what makes this car really special. If you like engines that really make you wring them out, this is the car for you. The steering is hydraulic, and it’s excellent. You can fiddle with the settings to change the weight, with the “Sport” setting giving you the heavier wheel.
